Hands-on configuration and administration experience across a diverse set of platforms spanning email security, networking, telephony, ERP, and remote support tooling — beyond the Microsoft 365 and Azure work covered elsewhere in this portfolio.
Platform Depth Beyond Microsoft 365
While much of Adam's work centers around the Microsoft ecosystem, day-to-day operations required hands-on administration of several other business-critical platforms. The five tools below represent a meaningful cross-section of that experience — each one configured and maintained directly, not just used as an end user.
Mimecast
Maintained Mimecast as the organization's email security gateway, including spam, phishing filtering policies and URL protection to scan and rewrite links in real time against malicious sites. Also configured SAML 2.0 SSO through Entra ID, removing a separate set of credentials for every user. Together, these reduced both the phishing risk surface and the administrative overhead of managing Mimecast as a standalone identity silo.
Meraki
Administered the organization's Meraki networking environment, including VLAN configuration and segmentation to logically separate production, showroom, and management traffic. Also configured and maintained the Site-to-Site VPN connection bridging the on-premises network to Azure as part of the cloud infrastructure buildout, giving the network the same level of control and visibility on-premises as it had in the cloud.
NuWave
Managed the organization's NuWave VoIP platform, including assigning and configuring DIDs for new hires, reassigning numbers during employee offboarding, and managing lines that became targets of severe spam call activity. This kept the phone system organized and responsive to both personnel changes and abuse without requiring a vendor support ticket for routine number management.
e-automate (EA)
Administered the organization's e-automate ERP system beyond just deployment, including user and license management and permission governance to ensure access aligned with job role and responsibility. Combined with the deployment scripts and registry-based connection adjustment covered in the PowerShell section of this portfolio, this gave him full-stack visibility into the application — from how it's installed and configured on endpoints to how user access is governed within it.
ConnectWise ScreenConnect
Used ConnectWise ScreenConnect as the primary RMM tool for day-to-day remote support and troubleshooting, as well as for mass script deployment across the device fleet — including the ERP connection registry fix and other PowerShell scripts that needed to reliably reach every endpoint regardless of enrollment state. This made it the most dependable deployment method for time-sensitive, business-critical fixes.
Summary
Across these five platforms — spanning email security, networking, telephony, ERP, and remote management — the common thread is direct, hands-on ownership rather than surface-level familiarity. This breadth, paired with the deeper Microsoft 365, Azure, and automation work covered throughout the rest of this portfolio, reflects a well-rounded systems administration skill set capable of supporting a business across its full technology stack.
